Questions before you send a case

Is Heatshape software or an engineering service?
Heatshape combines both. We set up and evaluate the initial simulation with you. You then receive access to the working model through the Heatshape platform.
What information do you need from us?
Typically geometry, material information, process parameters, boundary conditions and any available measurements.
What do we receive at the end of a project?
You receive the evaluated simulation results and a working Heatshape model that can be reused for further designs and process variations.
Do we need internal simulation expertise?
No. Heatshape handles the initial setup and guides your team in using the resulting model.
How is the model validated?
We compare simulation results with available measurements and help define an appropriate validation approach when experimental data is not yet available.
Which manufacturing processes can Heatshape simulate?
Welding, directed energy deposition, and laser hardening.
How long does an initial project take?
The timeframe depends on geometry, process complexity and available data. After an initial discussion, Heatshape proposes a defined scope, timeline and price.

Have a manufacturing case you want to simulate?

Send a short description of the geometry, process, and the engineering question.
